What we do

The CAREgiving Institute is a 501 (3)(c), not for profit organization. We specialize in consultation, education and training for senior care services. We create resources and options for today's and tomorrow's elderly.

Our goal is to educate, train, and empower one million care givers by the year 2030. The objectives of our goal are to increase access to care giving resources, reduce cost of care, and reduce ill health associated with caregiver stress and to facilitate avenues for “moving on” when care giving is no longer an integral part of the care giver's life.

We aim to reduce the social and economic impact of the five trends that will be affecting the supply of caregivers in the near future:

1. Decreasing family size

2. More women re-entering the workplace

3. Increase in divorce and remarriage rates

4. Delayed childbearing

5. Increased geographic mobility

It has been predicted that in the twenty first century the demands placed on family and other informal caregivers are likely to escalate, affecting nearly every American family. The CAREgiving Institute has taken the challenge. We are on it! We are helping the state of Ohio with what it needs to do today to prepare for it's population needs tomorrow.
